CIIS Canvas Learning Management System
Canvas is the university's online learning platform. All courses at the university, regardless of format (online, hybrid, in-person), have an associated CIIS Canvas virtual course space. All active academic (matriculated) students at the university and academic course auditors are provisioned a CIIS Canvas account within 24 hours of their first successful academic course registration (no holds).
To access CIIS Canvas the first time or to reset your CIIS Canvas password, follow this step-by-step guide:
The CIIS Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), MyCIIS and Office 365 have separate passwords. CIIS Canvas passwords are set by the user. If you have already set your CIIS Canvas password, follow this link to log-in: https://ciis.instructure.com
If are accessing CIIS Canvas for the first time, or need to reset your CIIS Canvas password, follow steps 1-3 below after accessing https://ciis.instructure.com :
1.) Select “Forgot Password?”
2.) Enter your CIIS ID number and select “Request Password.”
3.) Once you have selected “Request Password,” Canvas will email you instructions on how to set / reset your CIIS Canvas password (to your university email address - student: @mymail.ciis.edu; faculty: @ciis.edu).
If the Canvas password reset email is not in your main mailbox after completing steps 1.) and 2.), check the “Other” mail tab (if you are using Mail from the Office 365 website) and your spam folder. If you are not able to locate the password reset email, contact Canvas support for assistance 365 / 24 /7 at 1-844-462-8394.
If you have not received information regarding how to access your university email address,
1. If you are a registered CIIS student and have a MyMail related email issue, complete this (MyCIIS login required) form
2. If you are a CIIS faculty member and have email issues please complete this (MyCIIS login required) form
