Student Disability Services (SDS) , a division of the Dean of Students Office, works in partnership with students who identify as having permanent or temporary disability status. Together, in conjunction with documentation from an appropriate healthcare provider, we identify areas for reasonable accommodation that will provide students with the opportunity for full access and participation in the academic environment. A student’s disability status is only communicated to other faculty and staff with a student’s written permission, and the nature of a disability is never disclosed.

Our mission is to ensure equal access to education for qualified students with disability status at California Institute of Integral Studies. The SDS staff works to create a welcoming, accessible, and supportive environment in order to promote the academic independence and success of students with disability status. Our role with students is one of partnership and advocacy.
