Student Affairs & Student Union COVID-19 Grant Funding Request

CIIS recognizes COVID-19’s impact on our students; as a result, Student Affairs & Student Union have created a COVID-19 Fund to support students with a loss of income or financial hardship due to coronavirus.  The Priority Deadline is June 5, 2020 when all applications will be reviewed and funding distributed. 

 

Priority will be given to students not eligible for the federal CARES Act (including international students, DACA students, and students in online programs); individuals in great socio-economic disparity, from un(der)represented and undocumented populations, and from historically marginalized backgrounds; and students who did not receive CARES Act funding.  Grants can be used to help pay for expenses that include food, housing, technology, childcare, and more. 

 

The Student Affairs & Student Union COVID-19 Fund will grant a maximum request of $750 per student.  Students must have been or be enrolled at CIIS for Spring 2020 or Summer 2020.

 

The Student Affairs & Student Union COVID-19 Fund will be reviewed by a committee composed of representatives from the following offices: Student Affairs, Student Union, Office of Diversity & Inclusion, Financial Aid, and Academic Affairs.  Information disclosed will be kept confidential.

 

Please email your completed application to studentaffairs@ciis.edu by the priority deadline is June 5, 2020.  Note that it is very likely that all funds will be distributed at this time.  Applications received after the priority deadline will be reviewed only if money is leftover and distributed until the funding is exhausted.
